Jason Ainley 4^th Degree Black Belt chief Instructor and grading examiner of Eastern Cyprus Taekwon-do began his martial arts training in 1994. 
He was a Senior Instructor & Grading examiner with the North of England Schools of Taekwon-do for 9 years and during this time he taught over 20 students to Black Belt, and in competition trained 15 British open Taekwon-do champions,3 BBI Champions, 6 EMA freestyle sport regional champions and had many successes in interclub competitions.
Although having success in competition style 
Taekwon-do experience while working in the security industry steered him to training in the self defence side of the art, which led him to be employed by local education authorites to teach martial arts and self defence in schools and social groups.

• 1994  Began training in Taekwon-do  with Mr Anthony Mawbey and the GTI Taekwon-do Association.
• 1995  Joined Grandmaster Hee il Chos AIMAA.
• 1996  North of England regional Championship Gold  points sparring.
• 1997  North of England regional Championship Gold  points sparring.
• 1997  AIMAA  North of England regional Championship Bronze points sparring.
• 1997  AIMAA  North of England regional Championship silver points sparring.
• 1998  Graded to 1^st Degree Black Belt with AIMAA.
• 1998  Began squad training.
• 1998  AIMAA North of England Championships Gold sparring.
• 1998  Member of the AIMAA North of England team for Irish Nationals in County Wexford.
• 1999  Opened first Taekwon-do school in Kimberworth Rotherham.
• 1999  AIMAA West Yorkshire Championship Gold Team event.
• 1999  UTAW  Welsh Championships Bronze Team event.
• 1999  Attended grand opening of Grandmaster Hee il Chos Taekwon-do centre in Albuquerque, New Mexico  U.S.A.
• 1999  Member of AIMAA team Riehnam Valley Germany Gold sparring.
• 1999  Schools became independent  known as North of England Schools of Taekwon-do and became member of the British National Martial Arts Association.
• 2000  Graded to 2^nd Degree Black Belt with N.E.S.T.
• 2002  Opened N.E.S.T  classes in Sheffield.
• 2003  Graded to 3^rd Degree Black Belt with N.E.S.T.
• 2007  Became Senior coach of N.E.S.T Taekwondo squad.
• 2007 Graded to 4^th Degree Black Belt with N.E.S.T.  
• 2008 Retired as senior Instructor of N.E.S.T Rotherham & Sheffield.  
• 2011 Formed  Eastern Cyprus Taekwon-do
